I wanted to download the latest z/Architecture Principles of Operation today (SA22-7832-11) and was greeted with the following web page:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg2b9de5f05a9d57819852571c500428f9a
To download this publication you will need to sign in to
the IBM Resource Link website with your IBM ID and password.
If you have not previously signed in to Resource Link with
your IBM ID, you need to sign in here first to register your
IBM ID with Resource Link. If you do not have an IBM ID,
you can register now.

You can subscribe to this publication on the IBM Resource Link
website. You will need to sign in with your IBM ID and password.
If you have not previously signed in to Resource Link with your
IBM ID, you need to sign in here first to register your IBM ID
with Resource Link. If you do not have an IBM ID, you can register
now.
Since I already have a working IBM ID and password, I use it to sign in, I'm *still* denied access! After signing in I'm greeted with the unhelpful following web page:
Resource Link
Customers:
If you are an IBM customer, you may request Customer access to Resource Link...
IBM Business Partners:
If you are an IBM Business Partner, you may request Business Partner access to Resource Link...
IBM:
If you work at IBM, you may request IBM access to Resource Link...
So I click on the "request Customer access to Resource Link..." link, which then takes me to:
https://www-304.ibm.com/servers/resourcelink/hom03010.nsf/pages/accessRequestSubmitted?OpenDocument
Access request submitted
Your request for access to Resource Link has been processed.
It may take up to an hour before this access takes effect.
You should receive an email when your access request has
been completed.
Please notify Resource Link at ***@us.ibm.com after one
hour if you are still having trouble accessing the Resource
Link website.
Sheesh!
Whatever happened to just clicking a link and downloading a freaking document?!
