Take a look at https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term https://github.com/Swordfish90/cool-retro-term, it's a terminal emulator for Linux/Mac that emulates all the little CRT artifacts that I'd forgotten existed.
I started tk3, started cool-retro-term, and did c3270 against both TSO and the MVS console.
